We opened the April show on Gallery Walk night (April 5).
Even though we had three inches of April snow, we still were so fortunate to have so many people stop in to see the art, and several customers wanting to buy pieces. We laughed since the show is titled Spring 2019, and there it was, being Vermont and snowing and all! Many people came in with snow all over their coats. And everybody had a smile.
The show will run through the month of April. I so want you to see it. Gallery 34 is open most days when classes at the River Gallery School are in session! If you need to make sure of a particular time, please click here to contact me if you want to come see it; I can come open the gallery for you!
It took Joshua Farr, who’s director of the Vermont Center for Photography, about an hour to hang the entire show.
As we were going, I made a few adjustments. Then my husband Bob Jude Ferrante hung the wall tags for the art, did the window display with me, and put the sign up. So now the show is hung!
Just 24 hours to go! Can’t wait!
I spent hours going over the layout of the show, getting advice from Mara Williams, who is the lead curator at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, and from the expert who is hanging the show, Joshua Farr, who’s director of the Vermont Center for Photography.
Can’t wait until it’s hung!
On April 5 2019, a new solo show of my work will be take place at Gallery 34 in Brattleboro. I’ll be exhibiting my recent oils on paper and canvas.
